I have sent for three vintage films to add to my collection. I talked about the Thin Man series yesterday. Today the one I get a kick out of is "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". It is set in 1850s Oregon, and it has Howard Keel (great voice) and Jane Powell (cute as she can be). It's about a backwoodsman, Adam Pontipee, who marries Millie and she tries to teach his uncouth brothers some manners and has quite a time. They decide to go get them some wives. It's pretty silly but very entertaining. I miss seeing it annually like I did when I had cable. No more TCM. I have found some movies on the HBO Max app that has a TCM category. Most on there are old grade B ones that don't really interest me.
Have you seen it?
