Today is a good day to be cozy

I didn't write lazy. I wrote cozy.
Hubby and I have been listening to an audio book today. Rain is pelting down. Fields are flooding. A car hydroplaned into a semi on the highway. Somebody helped those poor folks. The mountain passes that divide my state in two are closed due to heavy snowfall. There are folks up on the Passes stuck in their vehicles. I hope the best for them.
I'm enjoying being cozy in my chair and yes, Fred cat is sharing my space. My next major thrill will be to open a can of olives and toss some onto a frozen pizza before I bake it. I'm grateful for a new roof and a chubby cat.

@ineeddentures Fred actually played a little today. I love seeing him play cause it means he feels good. He has asthma and heart issues. His good day makes me smile.

@Ineeddentures The Vet was shocked when she first met Fred. His chubby 16.4 pounds does not look ill. He has a good coat and gets around well. He also has coughing jags so I keep hassling him with steroid meds.

Glad someone did stop to help those people. You don't see that a lot anymore.
We had high winds with gusts all day. It's finally calming down some.

Being cozy in your chair is a smart and safe place to remain on such a day.
We had snow and windy conditions here today.
A transport truck jack-knifed on a highway and jumped the median driving into oncoming traffic where 4 vehicles were involved plus the truck.
A good day to stay in here as well.
Enjoy the pizza.

I know they recommend having blankets in the cars over there. We might try to have water during summer but that's about all the precautions we take in our part of Australia. I'm sure where there is snow and ice, they take emergency supplies. I hope so.
