Yep, I went and did it ….. Why will I not learn ….. I planned a lovely Mothers Day lunch for my Mom and because she likes prawn cocktail that’s what I did for a starter….. After having a reaction to salmon, scampi and prawns over the last few years I have stayed away from them. Recently I had scampi …..just a few, and I can manage that …. A few weeks ago I had salmon……if I just have half a portion I am ok. At Christmas I gad smoked salmon , just a small amount and I was ok. So today , I tried a prawn cocktail …… Bad move …… My tummy has been upside down for the last two hours ! I know how this is going to end ….. And it’s not going to be pleasant ! Is there anything you love but can’t eat ?

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well and hope it's over soon. Yes, I used to eat scallops all the time but was hospitalized after eating an order of them several years ago. My doctor told me to stay away from seafood from then on. (I can still eat one and am okay but any more than that and I either use an epi-pen or go to the hospital again.) The doctor told me I have trouble with the iodine content in seafood.

It really is best that you stay away from it …..you may enjoy it but it’s not worth it if you know you are going to be ill.

I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work out how you hoped. I was trying to think of an example I might have for myself, but nothing comes to mind.

So far I haven't found anything I can't eat. I'm sorry about the prawns.

I'm so sorry you're having a bad reaction. The only thing I can't really eat/drink is a glass of milk or some regular ice cream. Other dairy like cheese and yogurt doesn't seem to bother me.
