I buy fruit every week, but i usually buy fresh, it doesn’t really spring to my mind to buy tinned.
However about twice a year I will buy tinned pears as it’s something that The Mister will have for a pudding after a meal.
Very occasionally I buy tinned mandarins …..I had a load of free tins a few years ago and ate that many I kind of went off them .
When I was a child we had tinned fruit cocktail ….mixed fruits, but I was never very keen on that.
Anyway, back to my question ……
Do you buy tinned fruit ?
If so which ones …..and why ?

Yes, I’ve had tinned peaches with ice cream …that’s a lovely pudding.

Only to add them to desserts as an ingredient but not to eat them straight from the can or jar. I do prefer eating fresh fruit.

No. I usually get a serving of fruit every day from Meals on Wheels.

Yes, we buy canned fruit. I'd rather have fresh fruits but, when we can't get them fresh, I like eating the canned varieties. We always have mandarin oranges in the can and I buy cherries in the glass bottles and mix them with the mandarin oranges. We buy lots of fresh grapes and, in the summer, we practically live on watermelon or cantaloupe.
We always have pears in the can in our cupboard as well as canned peaches. (Peaches are my favorite fruit but they don't last long and the season for them is over fast.) We also buy strawberries and raspberries when we can get them fresh, too.

@Traceyjayne I grew up on the farm eating most of the fruits fresh from our own trees/vines.
