Authority figures rescued a female teenager who suffered an injury in the forest

A teenage girl who was in the company of others hiking suffered a broken ankle on Saturday afternoon needed help in the Boykin Springs Recreational Area in the Angelina National Forest in between Jasper and Zavalla Texas. Volunteers of the Angelina River Fire Department arrived at the scene of the accident when they requested assistance from the Beach Grove and Zavalla Fire Volunteers when they realized that an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) could not travel through the woods and streaks and streams in the area. The Beech Grove Fire Department Fire Chi Jamie Gunter asked for help when he saw a group of United States Marines Corps recruits who were hiking in the area and asked their drill sergeant to ask his students to assist the injured teenager and have an ambulance take her via an ambulance to a hospital in Nacogdoches Texas where she is being treated for her injuries. It is amazing what teamwork with U S Marine Corps recruits as well as firefighters work together to assist someone in need of their assistance. Link is kjas.com/news/local_new... via@kjasradio
