Kevin Hassett said the quiet part out loud this morning

He is Trump's National Economic Council Director. He was trying to justify the war in Iran and its impact on prices of things like gas, groceries, fertilizer (farmers), etc. He was on CNBC this morning and said that the increased prices for consumers if the war was extended would not really affect the economy. He said: "It would hurt consumers, and we’d have to think about, if that continued, what we would have to do about that. But that’s the like, really the last of our concerns right now because we’re very confident that this thing is going ahead of schedule." Yup. THE LAST OF THEIR CONCERNS. Trump ran on lowering the price of groceries. Remember when it was all about the price of eggs and beef? The person who was all about lowering prices now has an administration that doesn't care about lowering prices. The campaign ads just write themselves these days. Democrat Congressman Ted Lieu said: "I want the White House to send Kevin Hassett to every single TV channel, and to every single swing House district, where he can tell the voters of America that hurting consumers is, quote, ‘the last of their concerns'". Great messaging Hassett! We'll be hearing that sound bite over and over and over again between now and November. Thank you!
