So the good news is the U.K has moved away from fossil fuels of late and we only take 1% of our natural gas from Qatar. The Net Zero policy got a lot of stick but this months its proven to be very helpful as we go with wind, nuclear and solar. I suspect solar will be accelerated now. We hardly use gas in our summers. In the winter we still need lots of gas to heat and generate electricity so next winter will be expensive. We are guaranteed no price change through an tional price cap until July but then have to buy at these crazy prices.
Qatar gas field attack means they will lose a minimum 17% capacity over the next five years, and thats if the war stops today. Trump knows he has flucked up and even suggested Iran should be able to sell oil to release some pressure on supply, even though Israel are blowing up their supply. This guy is a real cretin.
So desperate is Asia for energy now they are purchasing tankers at sea for prices the oil companies cant refuse, tankers that were destined for other places. Every morning we wake up this will get worse.I still think Trump will nuke Iran, if he loses face over this nonsense.
Meanwhile in the White House this astonishing immature comment by the bone head to the Japanese PM.

We import 95% of our fuel.
And our fuel consumption is between 250,000-300,000 barrels in two days.

We need to be doing more in the solar/wind/nuclear areas. We have sunshine to burn (pardon the pun). Our fuel has gone up a heap here.

The price cap is a load of ballocks.
And the rhetoric the politicians use when talking about it is another load of ballocks.
Next year we will be crucified
Energy prices will rise in July faster than an American missile aimed at an Iranian Girls school and it will be the same even if the war ended tomorrow.
Did you see the price of unleaded shoot up again today?
Strange as it would have been bought when fuel was on sale at £1.20/l
