A passenger who was aboard a King County Metro Bus on Wednesday morning when a bus driver suffered an illness while driving the bus in Seattle Washington. The passenger took action by grabbing the steering wheel and stepping on the brakes in an attempt to stop the bus. The bus managed to hit seven vehicles on Greenwood Avenue before the bus came to a stop. Both the bus driver and the passenger were taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. The Seattle Police Department reports that an employee of the Seattle Parks and Recreation was taken to a hospital after his truck was struck by the bus. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us/...

Imagine how many vehicles the bus could have hit if the passenger had not acted how and when he did

The accident could have been a major league disaster had the passenger not stepped in and halted the bus.

It's good the passenger was able to stop the bus before it hit even more vehicles.

A lot of damage was done there, and with AI in the future, hopefully this will be avoided, as the bus will stop itself, if the driver has an incident like that.

It could have been worse. The bus driver would have been helpless to stop the bus. I have heard news about drivers stopping by the road side when they were taken ill suddenly.

That is true that the accident could have been worse had the passenger not pressed on the brakes and take over the wheel from the stricken driver.
