Yep, the internet has been swamped with A.I guff and influencers. The UK has 689,000 of these influencer people , including 31,000 celebrities. An influencer is classed as someone who has over 1000 followers on their social media accounts. The 10,000- 100,000 ' followers are micro influencers' and the bulk of them and the ones that can top up their regular jobs income to earn money from influencing. The tiny group that can have 500k to 1 million plus followers can demand serious money and give up those day jobs. One tweet from those guys can earn them six figures. One tweet. Gen Z (young people) dont fancy being admin assistants and forklift drivers and doing this instead. Its an oversaturated industry and its a worry.
A lot of them headed to Dubai , post Covid - sunshine, swimming pools and fast cars ideal backdrops for their influencing. They have to project wealth to draw in followers looking for that lifestyle. They rent those cars for the day and sit at hotel swimming pools with their selfie sticks before being shooed away by hotel security. There are 250,000 plus Brits living in Dubai, drawn there by low tax and entrepreneur visas. The vast majority of them are influencers.
Influencing really means marketing. They are young people, often attractive and confident , persuading other young people not as attractive and confident clicking on the influencer stuff that they are inadequate, there is a hole in their life and we can fill that hole with stuff you probably dont need, be it hours in the gym, lip filler or new boobs etc. Buy the cosmetics we promote, shovel down the fitness powders we overcharge for. Tell other people about us and we get a commision on that.
The top influencers are paid to promote other companies stuff .They may not like the product but who cares. Pay day! They can sell their own crap. It may not be any good but another pay day! They can run a subscription service for additional content. Yep, another payday! That they generally dont do is provide anything of worth. The vast majority of followers are that Gen Z. 25% of Gen Z believe every word they say. 75% dont. Mature and wise people are not having it at all and see right through it. 100,000 of these guys are now fleeing to the airport as the bombs drop.
The good news is that A.I will replace influencers and made up people will do the influencing, the stupid block in the Gen Z people unaware a made up muscle head is telling them girls hate them and they need to pump iron. Steroids shrink your penis by the ways guys.

I don’t let someone influence me just because I watch their videos!

Just now
When there were less influencers in the world, before AI, I used to get influenced by them. I appreciated their candor. But now, there are too many who are doing it only for the money and they're not being honest anymore.
Her's an AI selfie for you.

It's just crazy that people pay attention to these influencers.

I do not know, I find it sad either way. I may have had a lot of travesties in my life. I will tell you one thing, adventuring out into the great unknown of mother earth, maybe I was 10, but its still the neatest thing I ever saw in this world. Other than like bands trying to explain same thing.
