The Art of the Nap

Many countries around the world take naps each day. Now some people think that napping means you are getting way too old. Actually that's not the case. It seems that those that snooze a little each day are 37% less apt to get heart disease. So nap on folks.

I agree with the statistics. However, a nap is not a sleep. A sleep is what I consider to be more than 20 minutes. Beyond 20 minutes you lose too much of your day to be productive from the nap.

That has never come to my mind that napping means getting old. Because my mother would always let us take a nap when we were kids. It's part of the brain development and growth. In fact, as I grow older, I could hardly sleep at all nor take a nap.

We're reading more audio books these days. They're great cause the voice relaxes me into a chair nap.
