Four off duty lifeguards were at the Blue Water Seafood restaurant in Ocean Beach California on Sunday night March 1 when a 57 year old man suffered a heart attack while having his meal near the off duty lifeguards who were having a meal at the same time.
Noah Herrera was one of the off-duty lifeguards who saw the man act like he was sick and needed to be helped.
Noah who had help from Griffin Houldin went to assist the man who was ill when Griffin went to get an automated external defibrillator (AED) to use on the heart attack victim with the help of two other off-duty lifeguards to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) until paramedics came to assist the heart attack victim in 15 minutes.
The heart attack victim went to the hospital to be treated for his medical condition and he made a complete recovery.
Two weeks later. the man who was saved by the lifeguards met with his heroes along with his family to than them for saving his life.
Right place at the right time in San Diego California for the man who was saved by the lifeguards.

That lifeguard training comes in handy, and not just at the pool.
