Helicopter crew rescues a dog that was in a river in New York state

Deputies with the Onondaga County Sheriffs Department (OCSD) which is located in Baldwinsville New York answered an emergency call on Monday night when a mixed breed dog known as a goldendoofle which is a mixed breed of a poodle and a Golden Retriever was in the Seneca River that needed to be rescued. A helicopter from the OCSD known as an Air 1 went to the area where the dog was struggling to stay afloat above the water when the helicopter sent a crew member to rescue the dog when the helicopter was close to the water. The helicopter crew then flew the rescued dog to a baseball field where firefighters with the Baldwinsville Fire Department covered the dog with warm blankets since the dog was shivering due to the cold water in the river.
