Warmer today!

Today was wetter but less windy. After my last experience I had added an extra pair of nylon tights under my thermal tights and trousers, and swapped my T-shirt and shirt for a long-sleeved thermal top and a fleece jumper, so along with all the other layers and an added haramaki (Japanese belly-warmer) they kept me snug – and I could still bend my knees! Any more layers and I don’t think I would have been able to ride my bicycle which is how I was getting to and from work! I was also a bit busier and of course that helped with keeping me warmer too. It’s such a contrast to last week which was positively warm – the photo shows a resident of one of the houses across the road, seizing the opportunity for a spot of lunchtime sunbathing last Thursday!

I've seen that sometimes in inner cities where they don't have a lawn or a park.

It's actually not that far to a nearby green space but I guess if you just have half an hour or something you just make the best of what's nearby!

I noticed the person on the porch roof. I wonder how they got up there. I'm glad you were warmer this time around.

I would be too afraid of falling off the roof to attempt that. The warm weather is a nice welcomed change I'm sure.

@fleura Isn’t it amusing how the slightest break in the clouds persuades so many people out of their clothes to top up their tan. Our parks become a shame of pasty white flesh in such conditions.
