Continuing from this previous post of mine :
On the trip, our official plans - Meetings etc. were the top priority.
There were a lot of them.
Often back to back.
And meeting with our counterparts in Denmark - some for the 1st time was a great experience.
As I mentioned previously, one of our counterparts also took us to a drive within the city.
Now, midway through our trip, there was a dramatic change.
Yes it was cold, very cold for us.
And on one day, it started to snow.
Snow slowly, then a bit faster.
And then it started coming quite thickly.
We did went out and tried to enjoy some snowflakes.
It was second time in my life that I actually had live snow experience.
One of my friends had it for probably the first time.
The 3 of us captured a lot of pictures.
And it was magical.
However, along with all the excitement and "magic" came challenges.
Walking on snow meant slow speed.
And well, my misconception that it would be easy walking on hardened snow.
Yet it needed one to walk carefully and avoid sliding.
And where the snow had melted or been taken away by vehicles, there was slush.
Tougher to walk.
Then when entering the subway, shoes and boots had been wet through snow, so the steps were ultra slippery.
I took a lot of pictures. So so difficult to decide which ones to share, which ones not.
In fact, so many that I would be bringing another part of this.
And well, some more talk.
It was exciting. Challenging.
Well, at times even seemingly requiring both alert mind and body!
Enjoy the pictures - some taken from the train pointing towards the ground and roads seen and some from the Hotel Reception area.
Continued from Well, our work week had started in Denmark. With a lot of Meetings and discussions, at times it was difficult to get a tab on how fast the...

It sounds as if you have had some tough times in navigating through the snow?
How is your Sunday going?

That is far more from what many in the current times would be able to endure !

Even Denmark people told me that they got snow after a long time.
It is not as frequent as before.
Similar patterns are occurring even in India and elsewhere.

Snow is fun when you're a kid and can play in it without worrying about falling and getting hurt. When you have to shovel your car out just so you can drive to work, snow is a lot less fun. When you have to worry about driving on snow, that's when it starts being a lot less fun... After you dig your car out enough times, you'll enjoy seeing snow falling but hate it when it starts piling up on the ground.
I'm definitely happy now that I'm retired. I don't have to go outside when snow falls and don't have to worry about driving on the snow to get to work. If I have a doctor appointment, I call and reschedule it so I'm not out in the cold and snowy weather.

It is while commuting that one understands how tough it can be in snow and particularly in thick snow.
Interestingly, people in Denmark told us that they got this much heavy snow after many years!
Right when we were visiting there!

Yes walking in snow can be challenging.
However, one has to venture outside sometimes.
Good part was that even though we did not had snow boots, our feet did not get wet.
