Colbert Caught a Baby Squurrel.

We have four cats. Colbert is one of the two young males. He has true Maine Coone features and is a big boy probably six or seven pounds. He was outside earlier and we are not sure if he killed the little squirrel or if it died falling out of a tree. None the less he brought it home. My grandson took it to another tree a ways away and left it for the squirrels to hopefully do something with. If not he'll deal with it another day. Such a sad occurrence.
The picture is of Colbert asleep up at one end of my daughter's bed where he usually sleeps.

Colbert is handsome but not super big. My silly Fred weighs just over 16 pounds. Beau Teak weighs about 11 pounds. I found a deceased squirrel in the yard a couple of weeks ago. I dug a shallow grave for him then put a big flower pot over it.

He is much bigger than the pic shows. He's bent in two and looks about half his actual size.

Colbert reminds me of my cat Burt who was known for bringing to the front door of my former residence a deceased mouse with him.

I also have four cats. Two males and two females. Lily (black cat) is sitting on my lap right now. She has killed lizards before. One of the males tried to catch a mouse.

he looks dashing and i am surprised that cats eat squirrels but, it's all an animal instinct.
