The Veggie war has started ……

It seems to be a thing now at Christmas and Easter that all the supermarkets have their veggies at silly prices….
Lots have started today …..prices range from 15p per item to an amazing 4p per item …..
Potatoes, carrots, swede, parsnips, white cabbage, broccoli, onions, all at such low prices for one week only.
Mom and I are going to stock up and hopefully store as much as we can …..

We don't see sales like that here. I hope you and Mom get a lot of good veggies and can store a lot of them for later use.

Mom is into making soups at the minute …..these veggies will come in handy for a good few weeks…..

@Traceyjayne Homemade soups sound delicious. I've been thinking about making cabbage soup lately. I need some cabbage for it, though.

@Traceyjayne We have a second fridge now. It's very handy and means we can buy more when food is on special.

@JudyEv our fridge / freezer in the kitchen went kaput just before I had my accident last year . Our son gave us a fridge that we are still using . We have a freezer in the garage , but really need the one in the kitchen replacing, we were told it was a manufacturing fault and should be replaced free of charge , however, the people we bought it off are not answering our calls or replying to our letters….
