Sri Lanka has nurtured turtles very well. The Kosgoda turtle hatchery is a good example. Small turtles from birth to youth are kept in small tanks. Generally large predators eat up the turtle eggs and dont allow them to grow. So that is stopped in Kosgoda and Beruwala in Sri Lanka. It is a very good effort.

Did you toss Sathvik in with the young turtles to see if he'd grow along with them?

That's very good to hear. The turtles that hatch on our beaches face all sorts of dangers before making it to the ocean.
