A few weeks ago, I took my ring off and couldn’t get it to go back on because of the swelling in my hands . I had to take it off because I was starting to lose the feeling in my ring finger. It made me really sad because I have worn that ring since Chris and I got gaged about five years ago.
I have tried to put it back on a couple times and it just won’t work so we put it up somewhere safe and I have been wearing a silicone band ever since.
I knew I wanted something more personal than a silicone band to wear until I could wear my actual ring again.
I’ve had my eye on this ring as well as a few others and tonight I bit the bullet and with the help of a couple friends I finally chose this one and ordered it about twenty minutes ago. I am so excited to see it and get it.
It will be nice to wear something other than silicone.
Do you have a “backup” ring?

I'm glad you found a back-up ring but hopefully you'll be able to wear your ring once again.

My engagement ring isn't anything special to anyone besides us. It's a fifty dollar one we got at walmart. There's barely a diamond in it. But it;s special because we picked it out then.

I have the wedding rings I bought for my parents, but the lady who “cleaned” my apartment while I was at Disneyland put them somewhere, and I haven’t seen them since. If I had known what was being planned behind my back I would have taken them to put somewhere safe.

I'm wondering how you got it off in the first instance. We got to the point where we had to cut off my mother's wedding ring as we couldn't get it over her knuckle.

My finger was wet and I jjust twisted it around and around till I twisted it off.
