How MyLot will help me make over a dollar today alone!

I was out of dry kitty food. At Safeway, I said "I will buy whatever is $6.99 per bag." Then I spied it: a House brand of dry food for only $5.99/bag. I snapped it up. A dollar saved. Coupled with my MyLot earnings, I will have over an extra dollar in my pocket. If I can do the same kind of thing every day for the next three years, I will have an extra $1000.00 to invest in a low-risk CD at 4 per cent (or whatever the rates are then). Are you a smart shopper/investor?

We did well! You have to keep your eyes open when shopping for bargains.

@TheHorse We do too but if any of them are on special we get double if it's something that will keep.

I try to be. I try to think about unit price vs actual cost and see where I really save.

@TheHorse I only do this for things that I buy often. With the exception of milk, because a gallon is about as high as you can go. But everything else, that I use. I want shopping to be meaningful after all.

@kaylachan Milk has gone up in price less than some groceries.

But if it is five cents I sometimes just let it go.

When I shop, I usually try to find sales or what I buy has to be reasonably priced. Unless I have no choice, I will not buy something if it’s very expensive, especially if I know I can get it somewhere else for less money.

I take care not to get carried away by bargains and end up buying things I don't really need.

I think I'm a pretty savvy shopper and investor. Every penny and every dollar counts. Love the Melania money.

I heard Vons Is Closing down. Our Vons all boarded up. Put a big dent in the plaza in my home town. My sister said them an Albertsons consolidating . That's the worse sign when a major grocery store closes down. Everyone needs food. Just saying be on your toes people.

She will. I think that dry food all comes from the same place.
