Egg Hunting

Good morning everyone.
It has been a busy Easter weekend so far.
We enjoyed a beautiful and warm day yesterday, which made it nearly perfect for the Easter egg hunt that we went to with our son and his family. Being just 4 years old, Harper and Willow really are the 'perfect' age for such an outdoor activity.
All of their friends and families were there, which makes it nice because it is hosted in a park and the children love to run and play together before the actual hunt begins. They had a person dressed up in a bunny costume, Willow gave him a high-5 but Harper wanted nothing to do with him. But, like last year, Harper as well as Willow, enjoyed the little inflatable bunny. I suppose the fact that it is closer to their own height might have something to do with it.
They got a little bit of chocolate, and a nice-sized bag of dental floss, little toothbrushes and toothpaste. A very nice touch given too many children focus on the sweets and not the consequences that they bring.
Tomorrow they will have their very own Easter egg hunt within their home-it rained alot last night, so not exactly outside hiding weather.
I wanted to share this picture of Willow (on the left) and Harper beside her with their 'favorite' Easter bunny from yesterday. The photo isn't loading, sorry!

I remember the very last egg hunt I did for my kids before they were "too old for that sort of thing." I got up early on Easter morning so I could hide the eggs outside in the yard before they woke up. But it was pouring rain, and we had bad thunderstorms that whole day. So, instead, I did an indoor egg hunt and hid the eggs all over the house. It was one of the most fun egg hunts we ever did, except for the fact that I forgot where I hid all the eggs, and so I couldn't remember if they found them all. I figured it out years and years later when we moved, and as I was packing up and moving furniture and such, I found several eggs still hidden! Luckily, they were plastic eggs!
HAPPY EASTER to you and your family, and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
