Over the years there have been various views on single parenting. While most people consider this to be a strength for a parent to singlehandedly train their children, most believe it is impossible for one to train them and grow them the right way. I have come across people who people kids who have a single parent don't always do well emotionally and even mentally in some cases.
Personally i strongly believe this is not true. Yes there are cases where kids with single parents do not end well, but there are still kids who have both parents who still do not end well. I lost my dad while still young, so i grew up with just my mom and siblings, and i strongly believe things are turning out well. What's your take on this?

I don't believe both parents are needed. Some are just going to be bad no matter what.

My dad passed away when I was 12 years old. I think, other than physical health-wise, that I turned out okay. And I raised my daughter mostly by myself and believe she turned out alright, too. (Her mother and I got divorced when Pretty was 5 years old. Her mother dropped out of our lives when Pretty turned 13 and was allowed to choose which parent she lived with.)

@eLdav1s Kids will turn out the way they want to turn out in the end. I doesn't matter whether they have good parents or not.

i'm sorry you lost your dad. i agree with you that even having both parents, the kid doesn't neccessarily grows strong or stable. it's about love and having right values, wherever you are.
