So today we went to a classic car show ....now to me that means 75 to 100 years old plus ....
Oh no !
There were cars there that my Dad had when I was a child ....
The Mister and I now realise that we are both genuine antiques !
The cars were lovely ....and some of them really were old, but oh my, when the 'classics' are things of your youth !
Is it time for the rocking chair, Zimmer frame, and a blue rinse on my hair .....
Of course not !
What makes you feel old ?

In the US, I think a car needs to be only 20 years old to be considered a classic, but that seems too little. Heck, I'm still driving the car I bought brand new in 2000! I feel like nothing later than the 70s should be, yet. That's 50 years already. I think an antique would have to be much older, like a Stanley Steamer or a Model T.

Well, one thing that made me question my age was when, in my 30s I saw someone I graduated from school with who had pure white hair. I didn't even recognize him until he called me by name. Later, after leaving his presence, Pretty asked me how I knew the old man I was talking with...
I told her the guy was my age and we'd gone to school together... I expected her to tell me something about me being really old but, instead, my pre-teen daughter told me I didn't look anywhere close to his age. (That made me feel good!)
I also get the giggles when I see someone younger than I am claiming that they're old.
I think you'd look good with a blue rinse.

I often see photos of people from my year at school and although I think generally we are a bunch that don't look anywhere near our age, there are a few that decidedly older ....
Not ready for a blue rinse just yet ...

Seeing museums full of stuff I've been very familiar with in my childhood makes me feel old.

@JudyEv oh I agree with that ...and it's how we felt with the cars ...some were part of our childhood.
