What age should a woman stop breast feeding a child? I did a repair on a motorbike on a farm the other day When I finished, the guy asked me if I wanted coffee I said yes please and went into his house with him I had seen a few kids running about and he told me they had 5 kids I glanced around and through a door I saw a woman, his wife, sat in a chair breast feeding a fair sized boy, maybe about 10, maybe older I thought this a bit odd but didn't say anything Yvonne said it's a bit unusual but maybe the child has issues and breast feeding is best for him So, what age do women normally stop breast feeding a child?

That does seem odd for sure. I don't really know though personally. My son was formula fed...so yeah no ideas

@Ineeddentures I would have never been comfortable feeding Eli that way, nor any babies I may have (If I can). Does that make me a bad mother?

Just now
@Ineeddentures I know, but some think if you don't do that and only formula feed then that's the worst thing ever.
