The Undying Flower

At present, I have been watching a Chinese drama and the lead actress refers herself as the undying red flower. I got curious and it does exist and it is called 'amaranth.' To cut it short, it can be known as the 'immortal flower.' The theme of this drama series comes to having the undying love between the two lead actors. An everlasting affection that cannot be dissuade by other souls. Do you find meaning in flowers being given to someone? Any favorite florals that make you feel calm? Image Credit: farmdirectseed.com

No, other than flowers are pretty and make people happy. I grew miniature roses for years and years, until I had cancer and couldn't take care of them anymore. I dug them up and planted them at a nephew's new house so he could have them.

It was like mother who used to have different plants and flowers in her garden. She is more particular nurturing anthuriums with different shades. I also remembered that she started to plant them when I was born. However, we did not bring them when we moved out from our family house.

@DaddyEvil It is fine. I think we need to let go the past and move forward. In time, I can have my own garden again and plant whatever comes in mind.

@Shavkat Anthuriums are a greenhouse flower here. Most homes aren't kept warm enough for them to bloom. I have a pot of anthuriums in my kitchen but they've never bloomed. I'm sorry you didn't get some of her plants when you moved from that house.

I am not sure if you are familiar with this Chinese drama. Let me share it and you can check it out. Speaking of roses' shades. There are meanings.

It certainly is a lovely flower. I don’t really read too much meaning into flowers, but I love tulips. They feel like such a friendly flower.

I also love tulips, but they cannot be seen here in my country. When I was young, courting a girl is quite cautious in giving flowers. It sounds corny for knowing what is the meaning of their colors.

I have seen those flowers kind of just thought they were pretty weeds.

In my hometown, we do have wildflowers, and they look so pretty. It is the usual thing to see them growing in the mountain. That is why I sometimes miss my hometown.

I grow a type of those. The flower part is extremely long lasting.

I agree with you. They cannot be withered easily.

Omg! I grow amaranths in my garden! They make so many seeds that they keep growing back. My pink roses that smell delicious make me feel so good. The only thing that can keep me calm is my husband.

It is common to see them in mountains. Speaking of roses, I like different colors. But I like the black one the most. I think they can be seen in Turkey.

@Shavkat They must look beautiful in the mountains. I’ve never seen a black rose in person and am just thankful I haven’t killed the roses I now have. Killed the others
