Who else but me would get so excited about having a blooming air fryer ! I love the one at home and several times thought I should have one for the caravan , but it came down to two things .... 1. The space .... 2. If I've been here over 20 years without an air fryer ....do I really need one .... Well, The Mister and I were talking about it on the journey here and I googled prices etc , and decided to go ahead and get one. I went for a Ninja....same as at home, they are brilliant in my opinion. However, I went for a smaller one and a one drawer one instead of the two drawers I have at home. I got some liners for it yesterday and used it for the first time last night ....yes, The Mister got my current favourite snack ....chicken pakora .... I know I shall use it lots here, and yes, I wish I had bought one for the caravan ages ago . What's you ' go to ' kitchen appliance that you wouldn't want to be without ?

I'm with you on the air fryer. Don't know how I would live without it and can't believe we never had it back in the old days. I basically use mine every day. Glad you decided to get one for your Caravan and bet you'll wonder how you managed without one for so long. The only other appliance that I wouldn't be without is my trusty coffee pot.

@Marilynda I only use my oven at home for cakes now. Or a big cottage pie. Everything else is in the air fryer ... I don't know why I didn't have one sooner here, knowing how much I use the one at home ! I love coffee but don't drink it very often nowadays ... except in the winter months with Baileys .... Is your coffee pot one that uses beans ?, pods ?

My answer is not original; it’s the microwave. I cannot do with a microwave. That being said, I got an air fryer for free to review, but I have to use it. Maybe if I did, my answer too would be an air fryer.

Wrap chicken in foil and cook in the air fryer, it's lovely

Glad it was worth it! Not sure what I would choose. I guess I couldn't manage without a blender for making soups and smoothies. Otherwise I would probably choose a slow cooker, I have two at home (different sizes) and use them quite a lot.

@Fleura I have a slow cooker at home and at the caravan ....I use them more in the colder months. My soup maker gets a lot of use too....I haven't got one at the caravan though. I never thought of myself as a gadget person ....until I realised how many gadgets I have !

Definitely the microwave since I can't cook anymore. I can heat up frozen dinners and meals that J puts together for me.

I think our air fryer is too small to be really useful. We've never really used it.

@Traceyjayne Small!! I don't really know the size but two chops won't fit in it.
