I've got the job offer but there are some uncertainties or maybe not

I'm starting from Monday. It's kind of unusual that a contract is for a week only and if things go well, they will prolong the contract and there are other options involved, according to a female principal today. Since i got a green light from this school, already signed some papers, it made no sense to go to another school for an interview well, it's too late for regrets now Also, the school that is literally 15 minutes from my apartment and i was cheering for them to answer me back on my application, they didn't answer me, of course. So, travelling again but, hey, i have to work to pay bills and it would be good to work until June 12, when the school year ends. After that, not sure what to do, it wil be tough until September but, first things first. I also hope someone will contact me before Monday for more info about the class, even though i contacted principal already but she didn't respond. I''ll be working in shifts too, ah. There will be more work overall cause, I will teach and not so entertain children like i did in the afternoons, after their usual classes. Fingers crossed. I hope you're well, mylotters.

well, i got a teacher's contact, the one i'm replacing and i called her cause, it seems she won't call me first. still waiting for materials that she will send me (i hope not on sunday evening). i mean, i'm a little bit unhappy cause another school close to me called today and too late but they called for a monday interview. even though i said i could do an interview today cause, i might get a job on monday, they just said they can't today cause the principal is gone then, why are you calling me. i mean...schools here or schools in general.

@DianneN and i never like when that happens. it's like having nothing and then too much but in this case, nothing particular. well, i signed the contract so i think i'll be staying with this school for a week. i hate how they write in the contract i'm a replacement up to 60 days. i hope it's longer

i called, got a contact from principal and i talked to this teacher only for 15 minutes. i am nervous cause i would be really teaching and i hope she will send me via email all the materials but, i wish she invited me to come in person so i could meet the kids and see a classroom. noone offered that option to me but okay. i guess i should be more flexible, the word i hate the most. thank you

i guess they are expecting me on monday. principal or secretary didn't respond except sharing me a contact from a teacher who should forward me materials so, i only talked to this teacher. thank you. it's for a week, for now or maybe in total so, i hope it will be good.

thank you. the contract was signed today and for this class, it's for a week though, what a surprise, that doesn't say in the contract. it's just that i'm replacing the person up to 2 months.

@JudyEv they are not, you're right. but i went today and it was good, with kids and overall, more or less. only a receptionist seems annoying cause some schools have a chip to go in and he opens the doors to me and i feel i'll have to tell him every day i'm a new teacher. i sent a message to the headmistress, asking her to tell the receptionist i'm a new teacher so, i'll see the things tomorrow. i didn't like him asking me today after i said i'm a new teacher, he asked me where was going. not sure was that chatting or interrogating. he seems younger, maybe in his late 20s so maybe he wasn't bothered; my impression and not saying that all people in their 20s act like this. also, when my shift was over, i said hello to him and he didn't greet back. hm

secretary didn't inform me about the contract on monday, which would be good but the teacher whose substitute i am, we exchanged messages yesterday and today, i called her so we exchanged some info so, that's it. it won't be easy cause, she mentioned a lot of things, including kids having an exam this week but, i hope it will be good. for now, the contract is only for a week so i should survive this, i hope. but, i wish they invited me again to see the class, to meet children. i hadn't had that but it's funny they shared how kids are expecting me. i mean, those little manipulations that teachers or employers do like, everyone knows but i'm the only one in the dark. also, i got another call from another school, close to my apartment and their intrview had to be on monday so, i said i could do an interview only today and they replied, i think secretary, that a principal is gone today. i mean, a lot of them called me but they are not offering anything solid or too late. school started on tuesday again and they had enough time to contact me before friday.
