A Tampa Florida woman is grateful that she managed to use her cellphone to call 911 on Sunday evening when her auto drove off of the road and was submerged into a lake.
Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) answered the emergency call within minutes as the deputies entered the lake, broke the window and one of the deputies pulled the woman out of the auto by using a yellow rope.
The woman only sustained minor injuries and the auto was taken out of the retention pond.
I do not know if the cause of the accident was due to a mechanical trouble or if the woman either suffered an illness or she was either drunk or under the influence of drugs.

Glad she got rescued. Sounds like driving could be hazardous to one's health,

I know what you mean about being inside an auto and being helpless to get out.

I think she must have been fairly clear-headed to call 911. I'm glad they were able to get to her in time!

Most likely a mechanical failure or darkness on the road conditions.

I guess the deputies had to act quickly, and breaking the window of the car seemed to be the best option. I reckon the woman would have been pleased to be rescued, with only minor injuries.
