Oh, did that country music give you a headache? This should cure it. And, as I like to point out, I’m one person: I really DO love 60s Motown and 50s classic country music (and 70s punk and 80s college rock). This is what happens when you’re a music sponge. And with that, here’s today’s song that’s now 60 years old.

Yeah, one of the definitive 60s Motown acts has to show up any time you’re discussing the 60s. They called Motown “Hitsville USA,” and they weren’t kidding. Between these guys, the Supremes, the Temptations, and Stevie Wonder, there was no shortage of great music coming from that little Detroit record label in the 60s.
We ate it up. And here we are, six decades later, and it’s still sweet.

All the ones you mention also
Music was always on in our house when I was growing up so I knew all these artists when I was a child

That was such a classic era of music, and they still use these songs in movies and TV shows.

I think it was the Four Tops that we saw at a Cleveland motel back in the 60s. Small venue, good seats. Yes, I definitely know this one.
