April 9th 2026: Lost another close friend from alcoholism

Some things happen terribly fast and sadly, badly. I woke up on 10.04.2026 to very disturbing news of a friend of mine who succumbed to liquor related complications. I had been with him last on Wednesday 08.04.2026 at around 8:30 pm and he’d agreed to come to my place to help remove a tree that was dangerously leaning towards an electricity post. He never showed up on 9th and I assumed he was elsewhere since he operates power saw business. I called him this morning but his phone seemed to be off. As I walked towards the cyber, I was startled to receive saddening news that he’d succumbed to liquor related complication on the evening of Thursday April 9th. He was found lifeless sitting on a chair in his house. It is so sad that it happened before he could read my novel about how to win the battle against liquor, “Liquor Strike”. This hit me really hard.

So sorry to hear of this loss. I used to drink and one day I just didn't want it anymore. The hangovers are horrible too.
