People not moving on the seat next to them in a public transportation:/

There is enough place for everyone but in a bus which i regularly take or any bus, everyone (even some foreigners are mirroring that) are sitting near the aisle while seat next to them is empty.
All i know is they paid for a bus ticket but not for the seat so, i usually sit where is not a situation like that; next to a person who sat next to the window, leaving a seat next to them empty or somewhere entirely empty.
But, if i want to sit and there are free seats but people are hiding them sitting on aisle side, i ask is the seat empty and kind of expect of them to move. I mean, i don't know why they are doing that, sitting next to an aisle but i hate it when old or older people do that and then they move only their legs in opposite direction and expect me to hop and sit next to them, while they are not moving at all. I've experienced that and i'm getting too old for that stuff. And yes, the space to come through another seat is so tiny.
This Thursday, this same thing happened with a young girl, she moved only her legs on opposite side so i can come through and to whom i'm maybe looked younger but all i could say in irritated tone was i am too weak to move and could she please move to a seat next to her (i even said it in a formal way, without realising it). She moved but i didn't like being exhausted additionally after 1hour sitting in a dentist chair and this girl messing with me. Also, 2-3 days before, a girl put her bag on a seat next to an aisle and when i asked if i can sit, she moved the bag but sighed. I chuckled inside me but that's also rude.
Back to this girl after my dentist appointment. I don't entirely blame her but all people who get seated, i think they are all capable to move to a seat next to them but why they like sitting next to the aisle, i really can't tell but that's increasing and irritating to ask them all the time to move. Sometimes people stand up and let you to sit next to them, on a window side, which is not right too but they do some action at least.
Was I insensitive? What do you think? After one seat got empty, i sat there so i wasn't sitting next to her the whole trip and, yes, it happened that we both exited at the last stop.
If the situation was the opposite, i believe the young girl would flip out.

I used to take the bus a long time ago. I always sat in the same seat on the bus. It was one of the aisle facing seats next to the door. No climbing over anyone. I also noticed that everyone sat in the same seat they always sat in.
You said something in the beginning - they purchased a ticket - not a seat. Of course, they purchased a seat on the bus. That's what the ticket gives you.
Some people like to have their space and want the place next to them empty. I know that's what I prefer, an empty seat on either side of me if possible. I don't like being crowded.

@valherma00 That's strange the seat isn't included in the price.
I didn't mean to imply that we had specific seats on buses. People sat wherever there was an open seat. I always preferred to sit in the front and it was almost always available when I got on the bus. If it wasn't, I found another one, preferrably close to the front. If the bus was full, I would hold my things in my lap. Buses here are rarely full, so it was no problem for me to put my things in the seat beside me.

a tram or a city bus and if it's full, you don't get to sit (especially during traffic jams or rush hour) so, seat is not included in the price though, it is recommendable. i wish everyone could sit in their seat, i would love that.

@just4him yes, i undestand you. here, it depends but i've noticed they are giving us smaller buses and seats are just a few, which i don't like or it's just for a bus that i take.

I love sitting near the window, and people who love to sit near the aisle are, I think, anxious that they might not be able to get out of the seat faster and miss their bus stop. Lol!
Hahahaha, maybe the girl you asked if you could sit on her bag must still be in shock until now, lol!
I think it is normal to get irritated with things like that, but the bad thing is when we let it creep inside us, coz the only person who gets more affected by it is ourselves. It always happens to me when I was young, but I try to master not to get offended by those things coz it makes me feel so bad and ugly and the weight in my chest drags my day down... so I try to just ignore if I can ignore...

i guess i am sensitive with some things like, respecting some rules, a decent behaviour and such and yes, i was raised differently than kids or younger people today so, to me, it's not the same as to them and you,re right, you feel more pressure than them. after that, i had some good days and the best day in traffic for me is when there are not so many people in a bus or tram or when one tram is full, i wait for another one, which is empty. yes, ignoring and only focusing on positive sides, you are right. thank you

It bothers me when people (like this young girl at the bus stop once) lie entirely across the bench and don't think to move so someone else can sit.

o, i'me expericing that too and avoid those seats, if i can. teenagers are doing that but today, after my work, i saw a man in his early 50s doing that. i wanted to sit but luckily found the new seat. ah

I don't ride on buses anymore but I never liked being blocked into the window side of the seat. I would stand up and let someone else take the window seat but I wouldn't move over. Lots of people are like that. If there are other seats empty, I might tell you I'm not moving.

if there is enough place or that it's not too tiny to switch, like what i've experienced and that you don't need to climb up too, yeah, like that alladin song, a whole new world
