Banana boy informed me this morning that a super typhoon was heading to our country. Checked the weather forecast and indeed a huge one is coming.
Opened the blinds but the sun was shining brightly. The super typhoon was supposed to land in the Visayas.
Afternoon came and no sign of a typhoon. It changed direction and headed to Japan instead.
Guess we're too hot for the typhoon!

Japan has money to fix whatever will be destroyed by the super typhoon. We don't.

@DianneN Our country is already under the state of emergency becuae of the fuel shock. We don't need to be in a state of calamity as well.

We don't need another calamity hitting us at the moment. We are already suffering enough from the War and the fuel shock.

That a big sigh of relief that the typhoon changed direction and headed to Japan. Of course I'm sure Japan isn't happy about that

I'm pretty sure they aren't. But they have the money to fix whatever damage this force of nature might destroy. I just hope there own't be any casualties.

Indeed it is. Our country is already in a state of emergency because of the fuel shock. We don't need our country to be in a state of calamity.

Is a typhoon the same thing as a hurricane just a different name in your region?
