How are you as a boss?

My sister and I are opposites.
She's ill-tempered. Easily gets mad with every little mistake the employees make. She's generous and kind when she's in a good mood though. She's a really tough boss to deal with.
I, on the other hand, is the funny boss. I make them laugh to ease up the tension. Bring up their mistakes in a jest but correct them right away. I don't shout at them. They know me as the soft and kind hearted one.
So whenever I'm at work, they feel a bit relieved. My sister is the better boss, I just balance things out when she's too tough.

That's true sometimes unless there are too many jobs to be done it couldn't be handled by just a pair of hands. That's why we have many people working for us. And new ones are added frequently.

I think i like the laughter idea. I'm very organized and so i think I would be good as boss in that way. I wouldn't want to be one though. Too much responsibility.

@LadyDuck My parents never worked in the same business together and so was I. I just don't think it would work for us that way.

I am strict as well but I don't shout at my staff at all and I try to understand them. Nobody's perfect. But when I know I cannot trust one employee, I don't say anything, I just get rid of them.

I think I am a pretty good boss. I have organised a lot of fundraising events and am good at planning, organising and teamwork ....I have a positive attitude and keep spirits up, which helps....

I was a good boss; but my employees pretended to be my friends when they were not.

That sucks. I don't like those who pretend to be my friends when they aren't.
