Never made a wedding album

When I got married I never ordered a wedding album.
Partly, it was because what I wanted would cost me $1200.
Also, I couldn’t figure out what pictures to use.
There were too many photos to choose from.
Now I regret it.
I would love to have photos in print in an album but it seems wrong to do it right now since my husband left.
Plus, it will be expensive.
On the other hand, it is memories that I should preserve.
Currently, all the photos are on my computer.
A long time ago, I downloaded them from a link the photographers sent me.
They never gave me a memory stick with all the pictures on it.
I am not even sure I still have the email with the link and if my photos are still there.
My computer is old and I do not want to lose the photos.
Is there maybe a site that will allow me to save lots of photos?

I loved the old times with printed photos in the album. Now, that charm is lost in this digital Era. There are lots of unwanted photos eating up memory in my gadgets. It gets overwhelming

I never did an album for any of my marriages. I did do a baby album though. That was fun.

@celticeagle maybe one of these days I’ll do one. It won’t be professionally done, but at least I’ll have the pictures in print.

My ex-wife and I had two wedding albums, one made by the professional photographer we hired, and the other by her uncle, who did photography as a hobby. When we got divorced, she wanted to throw out both albums because she saw no use in keeping them. I told her I wanted to hold on to both of them. Fast-forward 10 years later and she actually thanked me for holding on to them, and asked me if she could have one of them. We're still good friends to this day, so I was happy to give her the one her uncle made for us. Despite the fact we're not married anymore, the photos were amazing, and brought back great memories. I'm glad she finally saw the value in them.

@lovebuglena I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through Lena, especially since there hasn’t been any closure to the situation due to him not talking to you. I hope he at least contacts you in the near future.

@moffittjc Wishful thinking there.
It feels like I’ve been erased instantly without a thought.

Good thing you kept them. It’s nice that the two of you are good friends. My husband hasn’t contacted me once this year.
I don’t know what I did to him that he acted the way he did when he decided to leave and that I basically don’t exist to him. No reason why we can’t be friends or at least be civil.

They do. It’s also sad when you look at them if the couple is not together anymore.

I think you should get the book done. I've mentioned that before. My husband is gone; but I have a few wedding pictures in an album. We didn't have a professional photographer and only have a few pictures. I regret that very much. I would get the album done.

When I get to the point where looking at pics of us won’t get me down perhaps I will look into it.

I know a cheaper way to do it.
All you need is a digital photo frame book
And of course your photos.
Are the pics still on the memory stick
It wouldn't be like a physical wedding album but a digital photo frame with photos on it that you wanted

They were never on a memory stick. I had to go into a link, log in, and download the pictures to my computer.

@Ineeddentures Interesting. Never heard of that.
Photos are on my computer and I hope that they are not gonna disappear from there.

Transfer to the digital photo thingy
Memories on your mantlepiece
