It is Wednesday, so we picked mother-in-law up from the Alzheimer's Memory Care Center and took her out to lunch.
She was in a pleasant and subdued mood.
Her brain wasn't firing on all cylinders today and she had trouble communicating and remembering and understanding. Something was said about her deceased husband, we called him by name, and she didn't recognize the name or know who that was. They were married for 55 years.
I always post a pink photo with posts about MIL because her favorite color is pink.

The dementia has really spread like wildfire, poor lady.
My Mom's escalated like that when the rest and nursing homes went into lockdown for COVID.
Someone would bring in a tray with a meal, drop it off, exit, and return a while later to pick up the dirty dishes.
No exchange of words.
She would have to go to another room while they housecleaned, and made up her bed.
She must have aged 50 years in a few months, now at least she is at rest.

Sorry to hear that she is in my prayers, I know how difficult it must be,

Oh, wow... I'm sorry she's having more trouble remember things. It's heartbreaking when that happens.

At least she wasn't upset. Be thankful for small mercies I guess.

That's really sad
Married for 55 years
And couldn't recall her husband's name
I really do feel for her
