So i had to pop into town this morning to book two appointments for my Mom.
The first was an eye test ....a general eye test then one for her contact lens
The second was a hearing test .... I am sure her hearing is a lot worse than she makes out. I plan talking to the chappie when we go.
hope all goes well .

Uhm... You might look at your title for this discussion. I was almost positive Mom didn't need a hearing teats but, you never can tell with you.

I hope both her tests turn out well. When I first got contact lenses, I had a heck of a time putting them in. I'd close my eye when I got close with my lens on my finger tip... Putting contacts on my eyelids never seemed to help with my vision.
It took me a couple of months to stop doing that.
I only wear contacts now for fancy places. Otherwise, I just wear my glasses when I drive and depend on Pretty to read signs when we're in stores and I'm trying to find the right aisle.

@DaddyEvil ....thank you ...noted....and changed.
Reason being, that I am using the computer at Moms ( as you know my phone has very little battery at the moment ) and all the letters have rubbed off the keyboard .... I really should remember where the blooming letters are by now ....
anyway, thank you, I'm sure all will be okay.
Hearing appointment is next Wednesday and eye tests are 13th May ....It would have been Dads Birthday but she said she wanted the appointment so agreed on that date.
I honestly don't know how you can put in contact lens .... I can't even watch Mom do hers. And now Granddaughter has them ! ( I think she is too young and isn't coping with them ! )

@Traceyjayne You're always welcome.

Did you tell Mom you said she needs to have her teats tested?
You're both welcome. Yeah, I can understand that. How old would Dad have been if he was still alive? And do you think I would have liked him, too?
I put them in by pretending I'm looking at something beyond my contact and just ease them onto my eyes. As I said, I don't wear them often. I have trouble getting them out again. I lost one behind my eye once and had to have a doctor take it out again. I'm really careful with them now.
Your granddaughter will get used to them really quickly.

@DaddyEvil I haven't told her of my unfortunate mistake ....hopefully she would have laughed !
Dad would have been 88.....Mom will be 88 on May 18th. Dad was just 5 days older than Mom.
You would have like him a lot ....everyone did ....he was a vey remarkable and amazing man.

If it's a test, any hearing loss should be evident, whatever your Mum says. It's awful to start losing sight and hearing.
