Midweek Notes - 4/15/26

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? It is midweek finally. It's also the middle of the month - where has the year gone? Eli has 6 more weeks of school left after this one. It does not feel like the school year has been that long already. Maybe because the winter was mild - we didn't get much snow at all. Although, we could get snow either today and/or tomorrow. I just hope it's been warm enough that it won't stick (or be a lot). One year we did get a blizzard in May - and then the next day it was hot lol. Anyways - being that it is 6 weeks till the end of the school year, the kids are doing these state tests that have to be done at the end of the semester. This week it's been in ELA (language arts) and next week is Math. Hoping he does well. In other news, think the inspections are finally over and hopefully we won't be bugged for a while. The maintenance guy came and fixed the one issue that came up (an electrical outlet that didn't work according to them). For those following my TTC journey (trying to conceive) I am waiting to be able to test....I really hope this month is it. I have been saying that for literally almost 2 years. Don't know what is going on to cause that. Not sure there is much else to share right now. Anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask as always. Image is mine - an art design I made a long time ago. I really should get back to making art like this. What do you think?

I guess it really does seem like the school semester has gone by rather quickly. Perhaps April got here so fast because I was desperately trying to hang on to winter.

@MommyOfEli2013 I think Valerie and I are the only ones on Mylot who would argue winter to be a good six months. She likes snow, and I get tired of running the air conditioner in December because it’s 87 F and humid! Talk me down, Courtney, talk me down…

Seems like the whole school years flown by lol. Hang onto winter? No thanks! haha. This was the best winter in a while, cold yes but not a lot of snow. I'd send some winter your way if I could.

@AmbiePam I am sure there are others who like winter and want it longer. I don't think we even need to be 87 any time of the year, but I would love 60s-70s all year long lol! I don't know how to talk people down? Lol, I mean I took a psychology class in high school...but that's been 20 years lol.

Yeah it is...just hope we don't get much snow when it does happen. Thanks, especially since it was my last dose of meds too...
