Are all good things meant to last? / myLot

What if all good things are menat to come to an end? The fear of losing encapsulates the part rational part emotional being. And that fear propels you towards a path filled where you choose things which no longer make sense. The entity of your being is lost; it feels. This is an absymal feeling; is it not? I just wish the universe would send a sign that the good thing wouldn't last long; so that the mind doesn't linger on it or get attached.

If good things lasted forever then a lot of the time we wouldn't really appreciate them.

Life is like marriage, there will always be good times and bad times. If there were no bad times, you couldn't appreciate the good times when they happen.

@Dreamerby No, I don't think so. They may only remember the good parts or may only tell about the good parts but everybody has bad things happen in their lives.

I do know what you mean. Sometimes I have to remind myself to enjoy the good things while I can, and try not to think about if and when they will end.

Everything comes to an end eventually ….good and bad . You do need bad things though to make you appreciate the good things ….its the way of the world.

As you get older I think you begin to rrealise that it's not good to think that things will stay 'good'. Best to be mindful that good times may not last.
