So Proud of Number 5

For those of you that missed it, I do not refer to my grandchildren by name, here on Mylot, but instead I refer to them in the order from oldest to youngest. So anyhow, 5 is with me almost every weekend and so he goes with me to church on Sundays. He loves church and does so well while there. Now, I have mentioned this before but for those who have missed that my faith is LDS (Mormon). The first Sunday of every month is turned over to the congregation to give their testimonies regarding their beliefs. However, this past Sunday was testimony Sunday because the previous week had been stake conference Sunday meaning we didn't have church. I'll go into that in a different discussion. Anyhow, I've gone up and given my testimony before but I get so nervous so I don't do it very often. Well, 5 asked me if he could go up and bear his testimony. I told him that of course he could and he says, "Ok, come on." Oh no little boy, I'm not going up, YOU can though. He scooted across the aisle to one of my best friends and asked her to accompany him. Vickie is a pro at this and so she took him up. He did his best and was really cute as he stood up at the podium to give his testimony. After the church meeting he was congratulated many times on what a good job he.did.

That’s very cute. It’s wonderful to see little kids join in on spiritual matters.

I can see why you are so proud of him. Getting up to give his testimony was brave.

You don’t look old enough to have five grandchildren. I only have two. I can certainly understand how proud of him you are. Sounds like a very outgoing child.
