Another trip to the garden centre …..

To be fair this was really for Mom. Mom wanted some trailing plants , and we said that we would take her to the garden centre today ….we both also needed more compost. When we got there we found that they hadn’t put much of the stock out. A lady that worked there said it was because we were likely to get more frosts and obviously that would kill off the new plants. We did see some that were so beautiful and as we have a greenhouse we knew that they would be okay in that for a few weeks. We ended up getting three plants each, for our hanging baskets. Do you buy or grow flowers for your garden ?

The last time I bought a plant it came from Home Depot, a very popular home improvement store. I bought it as a gift for someone. I can’t keep anything alive but a dog.

We have empty pots full of dirt on our front porch. We haven't been anywhere to look at plants or seeds, let alone buy anything this year. Tonight, the low is supposed to reach 37F/3C so I would have had to cover anything growing out there to keep it from freezing. I'm glad we don't have anything yet.

@Traceyjayne I'm glad you can take them inside. I have a dozen planters in the kitchen that used to be taken outside during the summer but they've stayed in the house the last few years.

@traceyjayne I try to avoid garden centres because I see the plants and end up spending more than I ought to spend.
