Do you apologize?

I feel guilty when I don't spend much time with my fur babies.
I feel guilty when I have to work in front of my computer and don't want to be bothered that sometimes I have to shove them away.
I love my dogs and when I feel guilty from neglecting them for a short period of time, I make sure to lay in bed with them and hug them tight. I kiss them and apologize for not giving them attention all the time.
They can feel it when they're neglected, they suffer too.

I believe they do. And I don't want them to feel that they are neglected ever.
When it was still Danie and it's impossible for me to bring her with me when I went out, I would really feel bad and would hurry home. I'd tell my friend that I feel so guilty for living her alone even when the helper is home to take care of her.
Other people may never understand. Like my sister, she could never understand why I still have these two.

@toniganzon - Some people do not realize that animals have sentiments, they are similar to humans even if they cannot express their sentiments with words.

@rakski And that's being responsible. If you can't afford to give them your time, love, and care; it's best not to have one.
Having pets is not only spending money on them but giving them the care they deserve which most of our countrymen don't know about.

Yes, I feel guilty if I don't pay attention to my fur babies. Not that I have any but my parents have two fur babies and I spend time with them when I'm around.

@toniganzon I don't slap. Reason why I kicked or stepped into him was often it was too dark I could not see or he suddenly appeared in front of me.

Such a precious photo!!!
I loved Doodles the cat so much. He’d sit and stare at me when he wanted to go outside with me. I would tell him wait 5 minutes. He’d move closer, and I’d tell him to wait 2 minutes, etc. until he was next to my chair. I gave up and went outside with him. I couldn’t help myself. I really felt guilty and always gave him extra treats and kisses.

Pedro is here reading your discussion. He is waiting for me to apologize and get off the computer and go to bed. He likes to hold me down until I go to sleep. He purrs and does the kitty massage.

I love animals and I talk to them. I take care of my aunt's dogs and cats because she just regards them as tools. Since I'm so far away from them, I would imagine being with them. I can't save them all because they are a lot and I have them spayed/neutered and vaccinated with what I have which is not a lot. I'm apologizing from a distance. I know that they're waiting for me and looking forward to the day I come to my aunt's place.

I'm sure your fur babies know that you love them. Giving them kisses and hugs makes up for any time that you spend away from them. They are so cute.

I like to try to pause for a minute and give attention to my pets when they want it. It's just a few minutes, and it really reassures them. Of course, my cat would "let" me pet her until my hand falls off, lol
