We had rain late last night but this morning the weather is beautiful ….typical of our British weather !
We will spend some time in the garden , getting rid of the weeds …..some are like pretty flowers and we do leave them until we have to get the ground ready for our new plants.
I also still need to decide what I’m going to be planting …..I know I’m a bit late for a few things ….and where I’m going to be planting them.
I have a herb garden to sort and some veggies …..
Do you spend time in your garden ?
Do you plant fruits or veggies or flowers ?

I don’t have room to plant anything with being on the third floor, but my dad’s wife gets super busy gardening. She says she really burns the calories when her gardening goes full force. Sometimes, my dad has to go out and persuade her to come back inside because it’s just too hot to be outside so long.
It will be fun to hear how your gardening goes this spring and summer.

@Traceyjayne Besides myriad flowers, she grows tomatoes, corn, strawberries, and has a blackberry bush. Her flowers are her pride and joy though.

As we live in an apartment complex, there's no space to plant big plants. My partner plants leeks, fig, and strawberries in a pot.

@kat_princess that's a really good idea. It makes great use of your limited space but you can still have fresh produce. I would love to grow figs.

It is kind of unfortunate that I live in a place that do not give me any garden.

@Traceyjayne Yes I do have it but the wind always send my pots down and rolling from the staircase where my lower floor neighbours were.

I'm guessing it must be warmer there than it is here. It's 37F/3C here in my part of Missouri this morning. That's too chilly to go out and play in the dirt.
Our front flowerbed still has some things I planted growing in it but Pretty wanted to plant three types of mint on each end of the flowerbed. Now, those have spread and are killing my flowers and foliage plants. I haven't planted tomatoes out there in several years. I had been planting sweet peppers in large pots on the front porch but haven't done that in several years, either. The oxalis is all that still looks really good out there.

@Traceyjayne Yes, I didn't realize that when she wanted to plant mint in it. I've pulled most of it out and threw it away. I keep telling her to pull the rest of it out and she can plant it in the edge of the forest at the back of the property.

@DaddyEvil mint is best grown in a pot…..it can’t take over everything that way but you can still enjoy it.

I'm hoping to spend more time in the garden now we're home from house-sitting.
