Nobody owes you anything

When there was a prolonged blackout, I asked my friend to help me charge my powerbank at an older woman's place, someone he is very close to. She uses solar.
He said he'd call me the next morning to bring my powerbank. He never did. So I went to his house..shouted his name, knocked on the door and even called his phone ..it was switched off..no response
I didn't see him until after 9pm that night when he showed up with some excuses.
I couldn't stay mad though cos I learned a long time ago that nobody owes you anything. He's done good things for me before..so why hate him over this one time.

I guess you shouldn't depend on anyone even your best friend.

True enough although, since he did say he'd help you, he should have stood by his promise.

Your feelings are normal. If it just happened once, I think that's ok. But if he's been doing it frequently, I think it's better not to associate with those kinds of people. It's up to you.

That is right. Although it would be nice if they did.
