My parents are growing old

Today, as we celebrated my brother's 39th birthday, I am realizing how fast everything is going around us. I will be 38 this year. Mom will be 58, and dad will 66. I remember, they were on their 30s when we were little boys.
I pray for their long and healthy life.
My mom has always worked hard in her life. She has been active always but lately put on some weight. However, she has lately started a little business of selling food and vegetables by the roadside. Even thought we are financially doing well by God's grace, she wants to do this as a little hustle to keep herself active and busy. We have an agricultural land, where my father plants a lot of vegetables (pumpkins, okra, chili, cabbage, etc.). So my mother got this idea of selling these vegetables by the roadside near our house. She sells them only on Saturdays and started just two weeks ago. I am impressed by her courage and desire to do something. No job is small. Even as we are financially stable, she chose doing something over doing nothing, which I admire.
My father is extremely active. He is turning 66 next month but he has the fitness of a young man. I am always fascinated by how he choses to repair than to replace. For example, today itself, he was busy repairing an old shelf. He is someone who will not fancy new things, but rather will try to repair old things. As I mentioned earlier, I have an agricultural land of around half an acre. My father is busy with that. He wakes up around 05:00 daily, and on and off, he goes to the farm around 06:00 in the morning. He also cycles a lot in the village where we live. Just like me, he loves coffee.
Mom and dad are a great couple. They have been through a lot in life - sacrifices, hard work and above all, did their best to educate my brother and myself.
I know I have been long, but when it comes to sharing a glimpse of their life, there's so much to write. I pray they continue living their best life, in good health and happily.

I hope your parents have long, happy and healthy lives.
It's always nice when our parents want to stay active into their older lives.

If that's your family's business you are rich. God bless.
My parents are older than yours they ar in their 7Os but they keep working too at home, because they get sick if they stop working. I think most of the people who are very diligent at work have a hard time to stop when they het older.
God bless to all of our parents.

It’s so great that your parents are still so active ….although I wouldn’t say that they were old , as in your title …..

when people support each other, that's a true harmony.
