I watched Crime and Punishment. This version was made in 1959. It has George Hamilton, Mary Murphy, Marian Seldes, Frank Silvera, John Harding, Wayne Heffley, Eve McVeagh, and Lew Brown in it. Big Warning: there is a suicide and hints of the murder This movie has changed the character's names and it doesn't show the murder of the pawnbroker. But they say in the movie she was beat up very badly. In this movie, Robert kills the pawnbroker. He learns that his sister wants to marry an older man. He meets a man who knows his sister. That man admits that he murdered his wife and gives him advice of how to live with what he did. He tries to seduce Robert's sister, but she refuses him. That man kills himself and Robert finds out. Robert decides to confess to the murder of the pawnbroker. I didn't really like this version because he was really rude at times and it didn't go by the book. I'm watching next Crime and Punishment. This version was made in 1983 and it doesn't go by the book, but I want to see it.

Wow, I didn't know about George Hamilton until the late 70s when a friend and I went to see him in a goofy vampire comedy called Love at First Bite. It would be interesting to see what he looked like when he was younger. Handsome, I'll bet!

Kudos for watching an older movie. Too many people overlook them.

It would be interesting to see different versions of the same movie and be able to compare them.

Maybe the 1983 version is better.
