Did I grow taller in my late 20s?

Among the three of us girls, our older sister is the shortest.
And as far as I could remember, our second sister is about an inch taller than me. I wouldn't forget how often she'd check her height because she didn't want to be shorter than me since i'n the youngest.
But recently, now that we are back with each other after too many long years of being apart, I'm now about an inch taller than her!
Could I have grown taller in my late 20s?

She's too young to shrink. I know old people shrink because their posture changes. But by old I mean those in their 60s and up.

@toniganzon that means you grew taller, that is the only explanation, right?

Yes, you can have a second growth spurt in your twenties. It's called "second puberty". You should look up that phrase and see what doctors say about that phase in your life.

So it's really possible that I grew taller.

Maybe she is shrinking...it is weird all through our childhood I was much taller than my sister, but as adults she is about 3/4 of an inch taller than I am. I don't either of us has lost any height, at least not yet.

I just find it a bit odd. Did she really shrink? Or did I get a few cm taller? It's puzzling.

Daddy Eveil mentioned there is a "second growth spurt" which could happen in adulthood. So that's probably what happened to me. Impossible for my sister to shrink. She's not that old and her posture hasn't changed.

@augusta123 You might mean a second growth spurt. Because my growth spurt happened when I was in high school.

What do you mean it depends on the body?

Ah I just meant most people stop growing after teens, but some bodies still add a little in their 20s. Things like posture, spine, or late growth spurts. So you might have, but not everyone does.”

I would have liked to have seen you at about 18 years old.
And then again at 32
Then I could have told you

Yesterday somebody asked my older sister if the tall girl (meaning me) was her daughter!
