A cuppa a day makes Toni a happy girl....

My father's siblings are all diabetic, those who died and those who are still alive. If my father had lived longer than he was supposed to, I believe he would be diabetic too. So me and my siblings are conscious about our health though our older brother isn't. And yes, he's diabetic. I love green tea and I've attached a photo of my favorite brand, TWG, specifically their Silvermoon variety. The one in the canister is the loose leaf and in the yellow box is the teabag. Drinking 6 cups a day may just lower the risk of me getting diabetes.

Go for the six cups as long as you like the taste.

The taste is very luxurious! I could drink it all day instead of water but since tea is diuretic, I would rather not.

Choose the right tea for your health. Those that are often found in the market are not the healthiest. Lipton for example is not the brand I would recommend.

@rakski Black tea has more caffeine than coffee. And since green tea is unoxidized it preserves the leaves nutrients compared to black tea.

Yes it does. And other than lowering the risk of diabetes, it has other health benefits. Been drinking green tea for so many years. My brother does too.

The most important thing is the diet an exercise. Among my siblings, I'm the most athletic one and I don't like sweets. So green tea or no green tea, I think my chance of being diabetic is slim.

I tend to have low blood sugar, which I am grateful for, even if it sometimes makes me dizzy. I’m glad you keep an eye on your health in that way.

I get a gallon jug of Arizona sweet tea in the spring and summer months. Or we make sun tea with some honey in it. I haven't heard of the Silvermoon brand.

The brand is TWG. Silvermoon is just one of the varieties of their green tea. it's a luxury tea and not from the US. Though they cater to US customers online.

Green tea has very little caffeine. I couldn't stand coffee because of the caffeine. Black tea has more caffeine than coffee.
