A different ticket machine ……oh what fun !

They have installed a new ticket machine at the supermarket where Mom does her shopping on a Thursday. You pay £1 per hour, but you claim it back off your shopping. Anyway, the new machine ….. The last two weeks it has only let Mom put £1 in and gave one hour ….. This is no good as,,,, 1. She is nearly 88 and can’t hurry around the store like a demented chicken ! 2. There is usually a wait for someone to come and serve you at the deli counter as they have one woman trying to do half a dozen different jobs ( I swear, if they think of it , they will give the poor woman a broom to shove up her b*m and make her sweep the floor at the same time ! ) 3. As it is early in the morning …..they class any time before noon as early ….apparently ….there is only one til open. So there is often a wait to be served there too. As you can see , she really does need two hours, ( and a picnic lunch, a flask of tea and a sleeping bag ! ) so that she doesn’t go into a panic or get a parking fine ! So, today she asked me to see if I could work the blooming ticket machine and get two hours of parking time. What should have been a 30 second job took about 5 minutes ….crikey, my yogurts could have gone off in that time ! Why did it take so long …..I hear you cry ! Well, it took so long, because the flipping machine wanted to know everything apart from my blood group ! By the time I had done all that the price of butter had gone up three times !!! Anyway, we got our 2 hours, did our shopping, and went on our merry way ! What have you been doing today ?
