Walmart saved money

My mom needed toilet paper. I checked different sites to see how much Quilted Northern is selling for and it seemed like it was the cheapest at Walmart. A 30-mega roll pack was $25.96, which comes to 87¢ a roll.
Just getting the toilet paper wasn’t enough to get free shipping (since there’s a $35 minimum) so I asked her if there is anything else she needs. She did. After adding the stuff to the cart, which was selling for a good price as well, her order now qualified for free shipping.
To take advantage of that I decided to get myself one 7-oz jar of Taster’s Choice coffee. It sells for $13.48, which seems to be the cheapest price I could find. I am almost out of it and I doubt it will go on sale any time soon at any of my stores here. It was best to get it.

Walmart always surprises me when we shop there. When I go to cash out, I'm expecting the sticker shock, but I'm surprised more often than not to find it less than expected.

That’s awesome. I really wish I had a Walmart here but there isn’t one. I wonder why. Does New York City not allow it?

A lot of it is logistics. Just one Walmart in NYC would require a lot of real estate. The city itself does not want one. They think it will hurt too many businesses. Here's an article for you...honestly, I can't imagine how hard it would be to have just one there, it would need to be many, many stores and it doesn't sound like it will ever be possible.

Good thing for the website. It boggles my mind that there is no Walmart in New York City. I would definitely shop there if it was here.
