I had stopped listening to music for many years!! Now that I am back to listening to songs, but not that actively I used to, I observed something!! I tend to listen to the songs that have R&B vibe and the tune has hook onto me, then lyrics matter to me!! I have started appreciating how a song has been composed, although I do not much of the technicalities!! Earlier I used to listen to the sad songs on a repeat and imagine sad sob stories involving me but now I feel like I am done with tragic stories!! What thing attracts you in a song- tune, composition, lyrics or singer?

as long as it catches my attention, then it means that i like the song. mostly, its because of the tune, like that catchy hook or chorus and it makes me check out the entirety of it. then i'll read the lyrics. the singer doesnt matter to me.

You sure are adamant with all the exclamation marks. It’s great you’ve found your way back to listening to music. What did you listen to most before you originally quit?

a thing that attracts me in music sometimes depends on my mood... when im sad i play happy songs so it doesn't linger much longer.

It’s interesting how our taste in music changes over time. I think the tune or overall vibe usually catches attention first, but lyrics can make a song stay with you longer. And yes, sometimes we outgrow sad songs and start enjoying music that simply feels good or uplifting.
