My Brain Has Been Fuzzy The Last Two Days

I've felt kind of weird for the last two days. Not bad, just weird. Like my brain is fuzzy. I almost felt a couple of times like I was going to faint. I'm fine, really I am. So far so good this morning. So I tried to think of reasons why my brain would be fuzzy and I would feel "weak" and the only thing I thought MIGHT be the cause of that my doctor is weaning me off of one of my brain medications, so maybe I'm just feeling the side effects of a lower dosage and it's just a temporary thing. Did you ever wean yourself off of a medication and feel a little strange? It's a normal thing, right?

My mom had that affect with Gabapentin, which was weird because Gabapentin actually made my stepmom fuzzy and faint. So yes, I definitely would think it is the change in medication. But if it continues for a prolonged amount of time and you feel worse, I hope you’ll talk to your doctor. Just don’t do anything where you could hurt yourself.

Lou, I'm not sure what to say about this. Brain fuzzies...I think I would call the doctor. Please don't drive your car right now. And since you say you felt you might faint several times, it sounds like possibly your BP is low? Can you have it checked out?

Yes ma'am, I will check my blood pressure here in a minute. I feel really good today though.

@LooeyVille Hopefully the feeling has passed, but it’s still rather concerning. Take care of you!

Yeah, BP check first thing..that might be at the root of your issues. I feel like that sometimes..but not usually when I remember to take the iron supplement.

Yes, it’s normal to feel weird when you stop taking something, especially if you’ve taken it for a long time.

I've felt that way for several days and it just cleared up for me last night. I know what's causing it for me, though. That's one of the side-effects of the hydrocephalus... I really wish the neurologist could work me in faster than September. But we still haven't heard back from her office. I hope you aren't having that kind of problem. It isn't fun, especially on top of the Graves' Disease I'm already dealing with. No, I always take all my medications the way the doctor prescribed them. Meds can have a bad effect if you try to wean yourself off of them earlier than you're supposed to.
